Implementation Manager - Italy
About this role
Build with us Since 2004, we've had one clear goal: to make payments and money management effortless for every business in Europe. Today, more than 250,000 companies use Mollie to get paid, manage money and grow – with products designed to be simple, scalable, and dependable. With 950+ Mollies across 14+ locations, we care deeply about autonomy and craft. So we work in small teams, with real ownership, and we trust you to make the right decisions.
We're building for the long term, so we provide the tools you need, processes you can rely on, and a balanced work environment to help you do work you're proud of. Sound like your kind of place? Let's build together. Your impact As Implementation Manager, you'll own the post-sales integration phase for Mollie's largest and most complex deals, guiding merchants from handover through testing to go live. You'll run kickoffs with internal and external stakeholders, set go live dates, keep progress on track, and coordinate testing and feedback along the way.
You'll work closely with colleagues across sales, product and engineering, as well as with merchants directly, keeping everyone aligned as deals move toward launch. This function is newly formed, so you'll have real influence over how the role and its processes take shape, bringing in your own experience rather than following a fixed playbook. The role is also more technical than it might first appear: you'll get close to the real world edge cases and issues that surface once a solution meets implementation reality, giving you hands on technical exposure without needing a payments or engineering background going in.
You'll be part of the team's expansion into new markets, starting with Italy. Your work protects revenue by keeping live dates on track, and it supports how Mollie scales delivery more broadly, building a structured, dedicated integration phase for its biggest deals. You'll report to Jan-Jaap van Helden. What you'll ship - Own the post sales integration phase for Mollie's largest and most complex deals, from handover through testing to go live - Run kickoffs with internal and external stakeholders, setting go live dates and keeping progress on track - Organise and track testing, raising issues and feedback as they surface - Coordinate across sales, product and engineering colleagues, as well as with merchants directly, to keep everyone aligned - Keep agreed go live dates on track, since delays mean missed revenue - Maintain documentation and playbooks that make delivery predictable and scalable What you'll bring - 3 to 5 years of experience in ecommerce or payments, in a similar role - Fluent in Italian and English, since this role supports the Italian market and works directly with local merchants - Strong organisational and structuring skills, with solid project management ability - Genuine technical interest and the ability to understand technical concepts such as APIs, since this role gets close to the edge cases that surface once a solution meets reality - An ownership mindset, taking charge of the implementation process rather than reacting to it, while staying flexible within agreed roles and processes - Honest, open communication style with a genuine, trustworthy manner, including a strong track record collaborating with pre-sales teams and handling conflict at handover - Payments or ecommerce experience, or familiarity with the ecosystem, is a strong plus though not required Grow your way At Mollie, growth is personal.
