HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (RECRUITMENT & PLACEMENT)
About this role
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, GS-0201 Series. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE, GS-07: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-05, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of standard recruitment and placement principles and practices and of the occupational design of various types of positions to analyze position requirements and to decide upon and apply a standardized recruitment strategy.
Knowledge of the standard principles and practices of recruitment and placement to apply to issues and problems of limited scope and complexity. Knowledge of merit promotion and affirmative employment programs, plans, and techniques in order to effectively apply them. OR EDUCATION: Successfully completed at least 1 full year of graduate level education or have superior academic achievement. NOTE: You must submit your transcripts.
OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of specialized experience and education as described above. Having combination of specialized experience and graduate level education as well as skills and abilities to perform the duties of this position. Only graduate level education in excess of the first year may be used as qualifying when combining education and experience. NOTE: You must submit your transcripts.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs), GS-07: Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of basic Federal HR affirmative employment, recruitment, and placement techniques. Knowledge of the standard principles and practices of recruitment and placement to apply to issues and problems of limited scope and complexity.
Ability to communicate factual and procedural information clearly, orally and in writing. Ability to gather and analyze facts and draw conclusions from information. Ability to plan and organize work. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE, GS-09: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems.
