Human Resources Specialist (Information Systems) (NTE 1 Year)

Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions and specialized experience, as defined below. To be considered for this position as a DETAIL at the GS-14 grade level, you must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to potentially qualify for a detail and hold the same grade level you are currently applying for. To qualify for this position as a TEMPORARY PROMOTION at the GS-14 grade level, you must possess the following minimum qualifications by the announcement close date: Time in grade: Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled.
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet the Specialized Experience as shown below. If qualifying based on experience, your application or resume must clearly show that you possess the specialized experience requirements. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
GS-14: Possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level that included 1) Applying advanced management/organizational principles for Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS); 2) Managing, leading, and administering projects through each of the project lifecycle phases for HRIS, and 3) Researching, trouble-shooting, and resolving complex and integrated HRIS issues. Upon completion of the detail, the employee will be expected to return to his/her regular duties.
An employee who in on detail is considered for pay and Full-time Equivalent (FTE) purposes to be permanently occupying his or her regular position of record. There will be NO CHANGE in current pay. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
