Human Resources Specialist

About this role

To qualify for a Human Resources Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in, or related to, this position. To qualify for the NH-03 level, specialized experience must be at the NH-02 or GS-11 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector.

Creditable specialized experience includes: Applying Federal Civilian Human Resources principles, concepts, methods and practices. Advising senior management officials in the areas of long term organizational planning, succession planning and workforce shaping planning. Advising senior management officials on staffing and classification strategies, recruitment/retention/relocation incentives, onboarding and organizational design.

Leading a team or participating on a team responsible for planning and conducting special projects or studies. Identifying and resolving Federal Civilian Human Resources operating issues and problems, or improvements to the Agency's Federal Civilian Human Resources program.
