About this role

At the GS-06, you must meet one of the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position is experience in processing routine personnel and payroll actions, reviewing new hire forms, in-processing/onboarding new hires, and answering routine HR related inquiries.

At the GS-07, you must meet one of the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position is experience in processing a variety of personnel actions, assisting in the preparation and issuance of vacancy announcements, answering customer questions related to recruitment and providing information to others on a variety of HR topics.

At the GS-08, you must meet one of the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes processing complex personnel actions and resolving errors of incorrect data, generating vacancy announcements, resolving customer problems regarding pay, determining basic qualifications and interpreting and applying HR regulations and policies.

Only experience obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered. TIME-IN-GRADE: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).
