About this role

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, 0203 Series. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-6, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience include knowledge of, and skill in applying, fundamental and military human resources and management methods, principles and practices of military personnel associated with the Air Force Reserve; and standardized analytical and evaluative methods and techniques sufficient to advise on and/or resolve moderately complex non-controversial, well-precedent factual, procedural; make informed judgements on problems and issues.

Skill in the use and application of PDS data, ACCESS, EXCEL, ORACLE HR and other analytical and technical software packages. Knowledge of automated systems, personal computers, and relational database technology. Ability to analyze data/products to determine adequacy of data to support programs within the USAFR and Air National Guard structures. OR EDUCATION: Graduate education that is directly related to the work of this position.

(Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work and must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university) NOTE: You MUST submit copies of your official transcripts. OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Less than the full amount of experience as described and less than the full amount of education described.

FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in­-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-6 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-7 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.

Ability to work under the pressure of established deadlines and short suspenses Skill in maintaining effective working relationships in and outside the office and in serving as the primary point or responsible contact for the work involved. Ability to communicate orally and in writing PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
