Hotel Manager
About this role
Hotel Manager The Usual Rotterdam opened its doors in April 2024 and has quickly become more than just a hotel. It is a design hospitality destination where travellers and locals come together to stay, work, eat, meet and connect. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Hotel Manager who will take ownership of the hotel's overall success and future development. Someone with a proven track record in leading hotels, driving commercial growth and delivering strong financial results.
Someone who combines strong commercial instincts with operational excellence and inspiring leadership, and understands that exceptional guest experiences, engaged teams and strong financial results reinforce each other. This is an opportunity to lead one of Rotterdam's most exciting lifestyle hospitality concepts, further develop its commercial potential and play a key role in shaping the future growth of The Usual. At The Usual, we believe travel can be a force for good.
We are building a new generation of hotels that combine thoughtful design, meaningful hospitality and responsible business practices. Our hotels are places where guests feel instantly welcome, locals feel at home and teams are empowered to bring their authentic selves to work every day. We’re not interested in hospitality for hospitality’s sake. We want to create places that have a positive impact on people, communities and the environment, while building a successful and sustainable business.
Our culture is built on taking ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement. We own it, we care deeply and we stay curious together. We challenge ourselves to think differently, move fast and create experiences that matter. As Hotel Manager, you will play a vital role in bringing that vision to life. As Hotel Manager, you are responsible for the overall performance of The Usual Rotterdam. You lead the hotel's management team and take ownership of its financial results, guest experience, team engagement and operational excellence.
You bring a strong commercial mindset and work closely with our central Sales, Revenue Management and Marketing teams to identify opportunities and grow the business. You understand the local market, actively build relationships and help strengthen our local sales efforts. You see the potential in our F&B, meetings and event spaces and know how to turn them into destinations for both hotel guests and locals. From developing partnerships and attracting new business to organising events and creating reasons for people to visit, you play an active role in growing the hotel's revenue and local presence.
