About this role
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree: major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (external link) at the time the degree was obtained. AND Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year of specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position.
To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following: Supporting data manipulation, visualization, and statistical analysis using Python or R. Supporting data modernization initiatives to improve data quality, accessibility, and use related to respiratory viruses and disease surveillance. Implementing and conducting epidemiological studies related to respiratory viruses.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, preparing scientific and technical products, and translating epidemiological findings into actionable information for technical and non-technical audiences.
