Head of Trading and Operations (USA)

Trexquant is a quantitative investment management firm specializing in systematic trading across global financial markets. We leverage advanced technology, data, and AI-driven research to develop and execute investment strategies across multiple asset classes. We are seeking an experienced leader for our portfolio process and related software operations to fulfill and oversee the firm's day-to-day book generation process.

The primary responsibility is to ensure that all data, alpha, strategy and portfolio generation processes run smoothly, efficiently, and reliably as the firm continues to grow and expand in complexity. Responsibilities Trading Operations: Oversee daily trading activities across global markets and asset classes, ensuring accurate and timely execution, settlement, and reconciliation. Operational Reliability: Ensure all trading and operational processes function smoothly, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they affect the business.

Trade Execution: Work closely with execution teams to monitor trading performance, transaction costs, broker connectivity, and execution quality. Requirements Bachelor's, Master’s, or Ph.D. degrees in Mathematics, Computer Science, or other related STEM fields. 8+ years of experience in trading operations, middle office, or related functions at a quantitative hedge fund or systematic proprietary trading firm Experience scaling trading operations across multiple asset classes is highly desirable.

Strong understanding of global equity trading, trade lifecycle management, prime brokerage, clearing, and settlement. Experience overseeing complex, automated trading environments across multiple markets and asset classes. Strong technical skills, including a solid understanding of trading systems, data flows, and operational infrastructure. Proven ability to anticipate issues, resolve them quickly, and implement practical solutions that improve operational efficiency.
