About this role

Weโ€™re Capital on Tap ๐Ÿ‘‹ ๐Ÿ’ณ Capital on Tap started because small businesses were underserved. Big banks were slow, their products weren't fit for purpose, and small business owners often couldn't access what they needed. We set out to fix that. Today we're a financial platform - not just a credit card company. We offer a best-in-class business credit card, SME-focused spend management platform, a savings product that hit ยฃ1 billion in funds within its first year, and a growing suite of tools and financial products that make running a small business easier.

1,000+ employees, ยฃ20bn in annual card spend, 200,000+ customers, 17,000+ Trustpilot reviews averaging 4.7 stars, and we're profitable. Weโ€™ve done a pretty good job so far, but weโ€™re just getting started! ๐Ÿ“ Moorgate, London | ๐Ÿข 3-4 Days in Office The Role As Head of Regulatory Compliance, you'll report to the Compliance Director and lead a small team covering UK regulatory advice and compliance assurance, and help drive how we adopt and govern AI.

You'll combine regulatory judgement, monitoring craft, and a pragmatic, risk-based approach What Youโ€™ll Be Doing ๐Ÿ—ƒ๏ธ Regulatory Advice Leadership: Lead the UK regulatory advice function, giving timely, practical advice on FCA rules, Consumer Duty, financial promotions, safeguarding and e-money. Horizon Scanning and Regulatory Change: Oversee regulatory horizon scanning and turn regulatory change into clear actions for the business.

AI Integration and Governance: Lead the use of AI within compliance, and provide second-line oversight of AI use across the business. Team Leadership and Enablement: Lead, coach and develop the team, and provide pragmatic, business-minded challenge that helps the first line improve controls.

Our Values & Culture ๐ŸŒž Just Pilot: We never settle for โ€œgood enoughโ€. We pilot new ideas fast, ask questions to figure it out, and scale quickly. Why Not Today? Fast is as slow as we go - speed and simplicity gives us a competitive advantage. Be a Buddy: We tap in from day one to help the team, we do the right thing even if itโ€™s hard. Owners and Dates: We donโ€™t chase people. If you own a task and agree to a date, the expectation is that it gets done.
