Head of Product & Growth
About this role
Head of Product & Growth This role is part of our Address Guard team, one of our growing brands at saas.group. Address Guard helps e-commerce brands stop failed deliveries before they happen, validating shipping addresses in real time against USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, and other carrier databases across 240+ countries. Trusted by 3,000+ brands including Vera Bradley, Reebok, and Everlast, it's cut carrier correction fees by up to 70% and support tickets by 32% for the merchants who use it.
Profile Overview This is a technical product role first. You're stepping into the shoes of Address Guard's lead engineer for day-to-day product/infra conversations, address-validation logic, and how Shopify (including Shopify Plus Checkout Extensions), BigCommerce, WooCommerce, and custom-API integrations actually work under the hood - so real comfort with that surface matters as much as your growth instincts. You'll lead the product roadmap, direct a small dedicated engineering/QA team, stay close to customers on demos/tickets, and use AI tooling aggressively to operate and drive growth with the leverage of a much larger saas.group team alongside you.
You'll work alongside the managing partner and a shared sales & marketing resource, with a structured handover from the founding team. Your immediate impact in the first 3-6 months will be: Immerse in the product, support tickets, and customer calls as you learn the AddressGuard product Become fluent enough in the Shopify API ecosystem and Shopify checkout-extension architecture to run technical demos/conversations without a translator Structured knowledge transfer from the founding team Take over day-to-day direction of the engineering/QA team and the agency relationship Work with the founding team and the saas.group team to shape strategy & growth motions Own top-merchant relationships and build a larger-account sales motion Your responsibilities Own the product end-to-end: roadmap, prioritization, and technical direction for our senior full-stack developer and QA analyst - you should be comfortable enough with APIs and infrastructure trade-offs to have a real conversation with engineering, not just receive updates from them Be in the product's front line: handle merchant conversations, run demos and onboarding calls, and turn those conversations into roadmap insight and reviews Drive conversion and expansion: revamp the in-product onboarding flow, improve install-to-paid activation, and run upsell motions into the existing base Improve the operating layer: documentation, help-centre content, and lightweight process for a business that has run brilliantly on founder intuition Use AI as a force multiplier across support, product specs, documentation, and data analysis - this is core to how the role works, not a buzzword What You bring to the table Technically fluent, first and foremost: you can scope features with engineers, read API docs, reason about integration and infrastructure trade-offs, and hold a credible technical conversation with both developers and merchants - without needing to code yourself Shopify ecosystem experience: ideally you've built, managed, or worked closely with a Shopify app - Shopify Plus Checkout Extensions experience is a strong plus - and understand how merchants and the App Store operate 4-7+ years in product management, growth, or founder/operator roles in B2B SaaS or e-commerce (early-stage or small-team environments preferred) Customer-facing by instinct: you like support conversations and demos, and you're good at them Self-directed and structure-building: you've operated where the process didn't exist until you wrote it Commercially literate: comfortable owning conversion metrics, pricing experiments, and revenue outcomes - growth matters, but it's secondary to the technical/product ownership above Have worked with UI design partners to improve UI / UX of platform/websites Nice to have: experience directing remote/contractor teams AI Literacy & Application: You actively use AI tools to enhance personal productivity and work quality, staying curious about emerging capabilities and identifying opportunities to apply AI pragmatically in day-to-day work - for this role, come ready to show us something real you've built or automated, not just name the tools What's in it for You Ultimate flexibility: We're 100% remote.
