AFRY Hydro is entering an exciting phase of growth and is now offering a unique opportunity to lead and shape the future development of our hydropower business in Finland. We are currently 120 employees within Hydro Nordics at AFRY, and more than 800 Hydro-colleagues globally. Together we drive the development of hydropower through both national and international projects, ranging from dams and dam safety to geotechnics, hydromechanics, hydraulics, environmental services, and power stations.
We are now looking for a leader to join us on our expansion on the Nordic market and drive our operations and continued growth in Finland. In this role, you will be responsible for Hydro’s business in Finland. This includes building and strengthening customer relationships, driving business growth by developing and implementing strategies and business plans and ensuring successful execution. You will also monitor project deliveries and quality, negotiate contracts and agreements, and hold full profit and loss responsibility for the Finnish operation.
You will also lead a section with expertise in hydropower, dam safety, and environmental services. Your responsibilities include supporting and developing employees and teams, as well as overseeing resource planning and recruitment. You will lead the Finnish management team, consisting of a Section Manager and a Senior Advisor. You will also be part of the Nordic management team. Some travel is required, in general one or a few times per month, mainly within Finland and the Nordic region.
