As Head of Accounting, you'll lead our Accounting and Payments team while ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and scalability of Bondora's financial operations. This is far more than a traditional accounting leadership role.
You'll play a critical part in preparing Bondora for a banking licence by strengthening financial controls, leading regulatory reporting, modernising accounting processes, and driving AI-powered automation across the finance function. Working closely with Risk, Legal, Product, and Technology teams, you'll help build the financial foundation that supports Bondora's next stage of growth. You'll be responsible for: Leading, developing, and coaching the Accounting and Payments team.
Ensuring accurate and timely accounting, month-end and year-end closing, and financial reporting. Owning tax accounting, payroll accounting, and statutory compliance. Preparing and overseeing regulatory reporting, including Financial Supervisory Authority reporting and future banking reporting requirements. Leading the annual audit process and preparation of annual financial statements. Maintaining a strong financial control environment while continuously improving accounting policies and reporting processes.
Driving automation and AI adoption across accounting, reporting, and finance operations. Partnering with teams across the business to support regulatory compliance, strategic initiatives, and business growth. What would ensure success in this role? Experience leading accounting or financial reporting teams in banking, fintech, consumer lending, or another regulated financial services environment. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, and statutory compliance.
