In this role, you will lead a category team responsible for developing and implementing strategies for indirect goods and services. You will drive strategic sourcing, supplier performance, negotiations, cost optimization, and sustainable value creation across a complex international organization. Key Responsibilities Lead category strategy, opportunity assessments, category planning, and competitive sourcing activities.
Take ownership of category performance and its financial and operational impact. Establish, monitor, and report targets for cost optimization, supplier performance, and value creation. Develop category strategies and roadmaps aligned with business and financial objectives. Lead complex commercial negotiations and drive fact-based decision-making. Analyze spend, supplier markets, contracts, and sourcing opportunities. Build strong relationships with stakeholders across functions, regions, and organizational levels.
Challenge existing ways of working and identify opportunities for improved business value. Lead, coach, and develop a team of procurement professionals. Support the transformation of Indirect Procurement into a strategic business partner. Identify and implement synergies and collaboration opportunities across the organization. Expected Deliveries Category strategies and roadmaps aligned with business objectives. Spend and contract analyses with clearly identified sourcing opportunities.
Competitive sourcing and negotiations delivering measurable savings and value. Defined and monitored supplier and category performance targets. Regular category performance insights and reports for senior management. Strong stakeholder and supplier alignment. Coaching and development of the category team. Identification and implementation of procurement synergies and improvement initiatives. Required Experience & Qualifications University degree, preferably a Masterβs degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering & Management, or a related field.
