Graduate - Trainee Operations Manager Parcels – North & South
About this role
Learn the Operation. Lead the Operation. Own the Operation. At InPost, we’re redefining convenience. From smart lockers and industry-leading technology to the people and operations that keep millions of parcels moving, we’re changing how people send, collect, and receive parcels and we’re doing it at speed. Behind every successful delivery is a great operation. That’s where you come in. We’re looking for ambitious, curious, and resilient graduates who want to get stuck in, solve real problems and develop into the operational leaders of tomorrow.
This isn’t a graduate programme where you’ll watch from the sidelines. From day one, you’ll be in the operation, learning from the ground up and taking ownership as you develop. Why Join InPost? As a Graduate Trainee Operations Manager, you’ll gain hands-on experience across our parcel network, working alongside experienced operational leaders. You’ll: Run safe, productive depot operations. Analyse performance, productivity, quality, and cost.
Solve operational problems and improve processes. Develop your people leadership skills. Work across Operations, Transport, Hubs, and other teams. Understand how the entire parcel journey works. You’ll take on real projects and increasing responsibility, with a clear pathway towards a future Operations Manager role. What You’ll Be Doing: Get hands-on – work alongside Shift Leaders, Duty Managers and Depot Managers across inbound, sort, outbound and last-mile operations.
Own performance – use data to understand what’s happening, identify issues and help turn insight into action. Dare to Disrupt – challenge existing processes and work on improvement projects that increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve quality. Lead people – build experience through team briefings, performance conversations, and cross-functional working. Champion the Customer – understand how operational decisions affect service, quality, and the customer experience.
Make It Happen – respond to changing priorities, solve problems and turn ideas into practical improvements. Win Together – collaborate with colleagues across the network to deliver great results. Develop your commercial understanding – learn how operational decisions impact cost, productivity, quality, and service. What We Need from You: You don’t need previous logistics or Operations Manager experience. We’ll teach you the operation and give you the opportunity to develop as a leader.
