Global Finance Manager
About this role
The Role: We are looking for an experienced and highly hands-on Global Finance Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day Finance operation across People Can Fly. This is a senior Finance role, but it is not a traditional CFO or strategy-led Finance Director position. We operate with a lean structure and a highly involved CEO, and we need someone who enjoys being close to the numbers, personally solving problems and getting things done.
Working directly with the CEO, you will ensure that our financial information, reporting, forecasting, controls and processes are accurate, timely and useful. You will take ownership of Finance activities that currently require significant senior leadership involvement, bringing structure, reliability and stronger operational discipline. You will lead and support the Finance team, but you should be equally comfortable opening a spreadsheet, investigating a variance, reviewing a forecast, working through a reconciliation or fixing a broken process yourself.
As you develop a strong understanding of PCF and our projects, your insight will naturally contribute to wider business decisions. The immediate priority, however, is operational Finance excellence and execution. What You'll Be Doing: Own the day-to-day operation of Finance across PCF's international business. Personally prepare, review and challenge management reporting, forecasts, budgets and financial analysis. Ensure senior leadership has clear, accurate and timely financial information to support decision- making.
Work closely with the CEO on financial priorities, questions and analysis, responding quickly and confidently when deeper detail is required. Maintain strong visibility of cash flow, liquidity, working capital and financial commitments. Own and continuously improve budgeting and forecasting processes across the business. Track actual performance against budgets and forecasts, investigate variances and clearly explain the underlying drivers.
Maintain strong oversight of project financial performance, including costs, profitability, utilisation and financial risks. Work closely with project and operational teams to understand financial performance and identify issues early. Support monthly and annual close activities and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. Coordinate accounting, audit, tax and statutory reporting requirements across relevant entities and jurisdictions.
