Orcrist is building a next generation data intelligence platform using cutting-edge technologies. We're handling petabyte-scale data with sub-second queries. Our product is a Kubernetes‑based platform delivered as B2B SaaS or as a self‑hosted on‑prem solution, including air‑gapped deployments. We enable customers across defense, law enforcement, and enterprise to turn mission-critical data into actionable intelligence.
Role We are looking for a hands-on Software Development Engineer to build data-intensive software capabilities for challenging applications in intelligence, public safety, and national security. You will work closely with our Intelligence team on data pipelines, data structuring, visual data analytics, and experimental software projects. You will work with large and complex datasets, develop tooling and infrastructure around visual data, and help turn new ideas into reliable, scalable systems.
This role is ideal for a strong software engineer who enjoys working with data, learning quickly, and solving practical problems in a highly dynamic environment. What you’ll do Build and improve data pipelines and data processing workflows. Structure, process, and analyze large-scale visual datasets. Support classification, detection, and other computer vision workflows from a software and data perspective. Take ownership of short-lived experimental projects and rapidly prototype new ideas. Support key technical initiatives across the Lancelot team. Collaborate closely with other engineers and technical leadership. Travel every 2–4 weeks for architecture reviews and team events. About you Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field; with excellent grade record from a leading university (Master's preferred).
