Fostering Social Worker

About this role

Are you a passionate and committed Social Worker looking to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people? Join Barnardo's Midlands Fostering Families and become part of a supportive, values-driven team that is dedicated to helping children thrive in safe, nurturing foster homes. This exciting role will primarily support foster families across the South East region, providing high-quality supervision, support and guidance to foster carers.

While the role is regionally based, occasional travel to the Midlands will be required for team meetings, training and service events. As a Fostering Social Worker, you will play a vital role in recruiting, assessing, supervising and developing foster carers, ensuring children receive outstanding care and support. Working in partnership with local authorities and multi-agency professionals, you will help create positive outcomes for children and young people, enabling them to reach their full potential.

We are looking for a qualified Social Worker who is passionate about relationship-based practice, has excellent communication skills, and is committed to delivering high-quality fostering services. Experience within fostering, children's social care or looked after children services is desirable. In return, Barnardo's offers a flexible hybrid working model, opportunities for professional development, access to a wide range of employee benefits, and the chance to work within one of the UK's leading children's charities.

Join us and help transform children's lives through fostering. Please note due to the high volume of applications for some posts, this advert might close before the displayed closing date. We recommend that you apply for this role as soon as possible
