FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN

About this role

For GS-9: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-08) grade level or pay band in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing financial analysis, reconciliation, auditing, and resolution of complex financial transactions and discrepancies; 2) Independently managing travel, pay, accounts payable, budget, or other financial operations; 3) Advising customers or management on financial issues; and 4) Applying and explaining financial regulations, policies, and procedures to address financial issues, answering customer inquiries, or ensuring compliance with applicable requirements.

For GS-08: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Reviewing, processing, and reconciling financial transactions; 2) Assisting with travel, budget, accounting, or accounts payable functions; 3) Researching and resolving routine financial discrepancies, applying financial regulations, policies, and procedures; and 4) Providing customer service and technical assistance related to financial operations and automated financial systems.
