About this role

Demonstrated ability to perform the duties described above using the theories, principles, practices, and techniques of generally accepted accounting principles. Work experience should include: a. Interpreting and assessing program financial performance using standard financial management systems; b.
Interpreting balance sheet and profit and loss statement results: c. Applying commercial budgeting techniques; d. Supervisory experience directing technical and professional financial management operations. Progressively responsible work experience in budget or finance that provided the incumbent the knowledge of appropriated fund and non-appropriated fund regulations on budgetary processes and requirements is required.
The work experience must demonstrate the knowledge and ability to balance funds between accounts; i.e. transferring funds between line items or subprojects or identifying excess funds for possible transfer to other operating programs. Must have excellent organizational skills; be highly skilled in written and verbal communications and able to deal tactfully and effectively with employees in all levels of the organization.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other software as required, and be able to meet stringent deadlines in a fast-paced environment. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" will be referred first to management: 1. One year of progressively responsible MWR financial management experience 2. Experience analyzing revenue expenses, labor, COGS, NIBD, or similar budget variances and other business indicators to develop management level reports.
