About this role

Taking hands-on ownership of day-to-day accounting, the remote Financial Controller will manage full-cycle accounts payable, payroll operations, and tax compliance while supporting the month-end close in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including vendor onboarding and payment processing Coordinate semi-monthly payroll processing and maintain accurate employee records Prepare and submit monthly multi-state sales tax filings and assist with compliance support Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 2-4 years of relevant experience Proactive mindset with the ability to resolve operational roadblocks efficiently Good working knowledge of GAAP and accrual accounting principles Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and strong Excel skills Exposure to sales tax tools like Avalara and payroll platforms
