Job Title: Finance Analyst Location : London Office in Chancery Lane What You’ll be Doing You'll be a core part of a small finance function, reporting directly to the Finance Manager, with exposure to the leadership team, the board and our investors from early on Success in this role looks like management reporting the business trusts, a close that runs to a predictable rhythm, and analysis that changes what leadership decides Running our month end close to deliver management accounts that senior stakeholders can act on with confidence Building and maintaining our budgeting, forecasting and cash flow processes to inform and underpin company strategy Analysis and interpretation of business costs and performance against plan, providing insight throughout the business Owning the finance operations that keep the company moving day to day, from payroll through to payments Taking end to end responsibility for our year end audit, statutory reporting and compliance calendar Preparing analysis and materials for the board and our investors, with the opportunity to take ownership of the financial model over time Scanning the horizon for bottlenecks in the finance function before they arrive, and targeting them with better process and automation Designing and embedding the controls and routines a scaling business needs, so the function can grow without growing headcount Managing the relationships with the external partners who support our finance function What We’re Looking For A strong command of the fundamentals: financial statements, reporting, and the accounting that sits behind the numbers One to three years at a Big 4 or another leading mid-tier firm, or in a finance team in industry, part qualified ACA or ACCA Ambitious, and looking to develop and progress quickly in a fast growing company Advanced Excel or Google Sheets, with strong financial modelling ability and the capacity to turn financial data into clear, actionable insight Commercially minded, and able to communicate complex financial movements clearly and concisely to people outside finance An inquisitive approach to the day to day, with a desire to question and challenge the numbers and to understand the business behind them Excellent analytical and problem solving ability, highly numerate, with a real drive for accuracy A natural instinct to automate and improve rather than repeat Comfortable operating in an ambiguous environment, managing changing and conflicting priorities Strong organisational skills, with a proven record of meeting and beating deadlines Experience of Xero or similar accounting software preferred; familiarity with data and reporting tools an advantage Self motivated, able to work autonomously, and conscientious with it ✨ Our values PUT INTEGRITY FIRST Honesty matters.
