The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position. Relevant experience must include two or more of the following: space planning or interior design; community or campus planning; construction; business administration; architecture; engineering (for example, facilities or infrastructure related field); finance; property or space management; trades or facilities operations; facilities system integration or interaction; hospitality; budgeting, cost estimating, project management activities in a related facilities or trade environment; building systems; HVAC; fire protection; plumbing.

Certification in a relevant field (for example, electrical, mechanical, interior design) may count for up to one year of experience. FULL PERFORMANCE Entry is with a high school diploma or GED plus 7 years of relevant experience, or vocational/technical training in a relevant field plus 6 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree plus 1 year of relevant experience, or a Journeyman license in a relevant field plus 2 additional years of relevant experience.
