About this role

Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a temporary appointment will be appointed/converted into a Temporary appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

GS-11 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) maintaining a calendar for senior members of the command; 2) revising policy and organizing resources in support of official visits or events; 3) composing written responses on receipt of correspondence and reviewing outgoing messages for grammar and correctness; OR 4) performing as the Public Affairs representative for activity.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
