Evaluation and Impact Manager
About this role
About the role At The Brilliant Club, we mobilise the PhD community to support students from less advantaged backgrounds to access the most competitive universities and succeed when they get there. We work with students who, because of their family income, parental history or the postcode they live in, are at risk of missing out on the life-changing opportunities linked to higher education. The Evaluation and Impact Manager sits within the Research and Impact team and reports to the Director of Research and Impact.
Collectively, the team has three key responsibilities: evaluating and reporting the impact of the charity’s programmes, quality assuring the programmes, and providing research and evaluation consultancy to education organisations. The Evaluation and Impact Manager is responsible for evaluating and reporting the impact of the charity’s university access programmes, university success programmes, and communities work.
The role also involves the tracking and reporting of organisational targets that relate to the strategy. In this role, you will work closely with the Programmes teams as well as line manage a part-time Research and Evaluation Officer. The successful candidate will have experience managing evaluation, data analysis and reporting projects, with strong quantitative skills and the ability to analyse and interpret complex datasets.
They will be confident using tools such as Power BI to develop interactive dashboards, visualisations and performance monitoring reports that support evidence-informed decision making across the organisation. They will be able to communicate complex information clearly to non-technical audiences, translating data and evaluation findings into accessible insights and actionable recommendations for the charity's university access and success programmes.
Working collaboratively with teams across the organisation, they will produce high-quality impact reports and data products for a range of internal and external stakeholders. They will champion the charity's values and embody them in all interactions with colleagues and partners. While this role can be based at any of our offices throughout the UK, some travel will be required (mainly to London) to attend in-person meetings.
