About this role

Wordsmith Wordsmith is building the legal operating system for in-house teams, and we are growing fast. We believe in-house legal is becoming one of the most important functions in the AI era. Every business is moving faster, but legal work is still too often scattered across inboxes, chats, documents and disconnected systems. Wordsmith brings that work into one system. Requests come in from across the business, AI agents handle the routine, lawyers stay in control where judgement matters, and every step is captured as work happens.

We are built for in-house legal, not law firms. Our goal is to help legal teams move faster, reduce unnecessary external counsel spend and become a function the business can run with. More than 500 companies, including Financial Times, Safelite, Trip.com http://Trip.com, Canva, Starling and Sage, use Wordsmith. Backed by over $100M from Index Ventures, General Catalyst, Highland Europe and others, we are building one of the defining companies in legal AI.

The role Delivery Lead’s run our most complex customer engagements, from kickoff to go-live and beyond. Some deployments are larger than others. They involve multiple legal teams across regions, several integrations, demanding IT and security requirements, and senior stakeholders with different priorities. On these engagements, you'll own the plan and the outcome. That means scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, governance and communication, so that our Legal Engineers and Deployment Engineers can focus on the build.

You'll work side by side with both. Legal Engineers configure the platform around how the legal team works, and Deployment Engineers connect it to the customer's systems. You'll make sure the two work streams move together, that the customer is ready for each one, and that everyone, on our side and theirs, knows what happens next and who owns it. It's part delivery lead, part stakeholder manager, and part problem solver.

You don't need to be a lawyer or an engineer. We're looking for experienced project managers who have run complex enterprise technology rollouts, who are comfortable with senior stakeholders, and who keep a programme moving when it gets difficult. What you'll do 1. Own the Engagement - Run our most complex customer engagements end to end, from kickoff through go-live to handover - Build and own the project plan, including scope, milestones, dependencies, owners and timelines, and hold everyone to it - Be the customer's main point of contact for delivery, and the person accountable for getting them live 2.

Why Wordsmith Wordsmith is growing quickly, winning new customers and expanding within larger organisations.

Our largest customers are some of the most complex legal functions anywhere, and how well we deliver for them shapes adoption, renewal and expansion.
