That means internal transfers, direct debit mandate management, standing orders, sweep rules, and balance notifications. These features are what elevates Tide from a place to hold money to a tool that actively works for a member's business: money moving on schedule, obligations met automatically, spending managed without manual effort. The team builds global products, operating across the UK, India, and EU, with the different payment schemes, regulatory obligations, and banking partners each market brings.
ABOUT THE ROLE: The engineering challenge here is correctness and reliability at scale. Direct debit mandates involve scheme rules, dispute handling, and indemnity claims. Standing orders and sweep rules are time-based, rule-driven systems where there is no margin for error. A recurring instruction either runs exactly as configured or it does not. Holding that standard across multiple markets, multiple banking partners, and growing member volume is the core of this role.
