Mission As Engineering Manager - Delivery & Team Leadership, you will shape the environment in which engineering teams can grow, perform, and deliver at their best. You will combine people leadership, technical credibility, and delivery accountability to strengthen engineering capability, guide complex decisions, and create the conditions for high-quality, stable, and sustainable outcomes. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Lead and develop engineering teams by coaching people, supporting growth, and building a strong team environment Shape technical direction by guiding engineering decisions, strengthening standards, and overseeing complex solutions Drive delivery by improving predictability, removing obstacles, and helping teams balance speed, quality, technical debt, and long-term scalability Strengthen quality and reliability by improving engineering practices and creating the conditions for stable, secure, and sustainable delivery Work across teams and stakeholders to align priorities, turn business needs into sound solutions, and support execution across your area Take leadership responsibility for your teams and area in line with valid legislation and the Slovak Labor Code WHAT YOU WILL OWN: team performance and growth across your area delivery quality and predictability engineering improvement priorities together with Technical Leads and Architects SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE WILL LOOK LIKE: high-performing, engaged teams faster, more predictable delivery without compromising quality fewer defects, less rework, and stronger engineering standards broader adoption of CI/CD, test automation, and observability You may be a great fit if...
you are a senior software engineer, DevOps engineer, or technical leader who wants to expand your impact — from solving technical problems directly to shaping teams, delivery, and engineering excellence more broadly. YOU WILL SUCCEED IF YOU: have a strong software engineering background and have worked closely enough with engineers to earn credibility quickly have real people leadership experience , for example leading a team of developers or engineers over a longer period, not just coordinating tasks have experience coaching, developing, and growing team members , including giving feedback and supporting performance understand architecture and technical trade-offs well enough to guide decisions, challenge weak solutions, and keep things pragmatic can push back constructively on unrealistic business expectations as well as over-engineered technical approaches have experience working across engineering, business, and stakeholder groups and can communicate clearly with all of them are comfortable taking responsibility for delivery, team performance, and engineering quality in a complex environment can balance technical, people, operational, and financial priorities without losing sight of what matters most The selection process includes a leadership assessment evaluating leadership capabilities and fit with DTAG leadership and quality standards.
