About this role
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 pay band (GS-12/GS-13 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer applying engineering principles and theories to develop, design, repair, or modernize electrical or electronics systems for watercraft or maritime vehicles.
Examples of qualifying experience include: (1) designing maritime platform electrical and electronic systems, overseeing fabrication, implementing test protocols, identifying deficiencies, facilitating corrective actions, and delivering functional capability; (2) providing team leadership, making sound technical decisions, leading technical reviews, developing and implementing technical standards, mentoring personnel, and resolving conflicts; (3) advising senior leaders on technical matters to inform strategic initiatives or solicit support.
