About this role

This is an interdisciplinary position and may be filled by an Electrical Engineer (0850-series) or an Electronics Engineer (0855-series), depending upon the qualifications of the candidate. Applicants in positions with occupational series other than those listed (0850 and 0855) may apply; however, you must apply directly to the series listed in this vacancy that is most applicable to your qualifications. Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-03 pay band (GS-9 through GS-11 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional engineer designing electrical schematics, circuit board layout, electrically small antennas; completing low power RF analysis; and/or developing embedded code for microprocessors. Examples of qualifying experience may include (1) analog/digital circuit design, embedded microcontroller design, and compact antenna design and integration; (2) performing engineering analysis, design, development, and test for embedded hardware products; (3) experience designing electrical schematics and layout using common software products (e.g Altium, PSpice, LTspice, etc.); (4) experience in writing embedded firmware for microprocessors.
