About this role

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12/13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional ELECTRONICS ENGINEER performing duties such as: 1) Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and technical authority for Assured Positioning Navigation and Timing (APNT) systems and architectures; 2) Advise leadership and Program Management Aviation (PMA) offices on strategic planning, integration, and solutions for APNT across various air platforms; 3) Analyze platform mission profiles to identify capability gaps in GPS-denied environments; 4) Develop innovative and novel technical solutions for operations in GPS-denied environments; 5) Formulate technical roadmaps and leading APNT Science & Technology (S&T) and Research & Development (R&D) efforts, including resource planning for long-range commitments; 6) Represent the organization as a primary technical point of contact at cross-agency working groups, workshops, and events (e.g., OPNAV, NAVWAR); 7) Formulate guidance, processes, technical direction, and specifications for critical APNT technology development efforts; 8) Lead and manage a team of navigation engineers to support APNT architectures and platform solutions; 9) Mentor and develop the future APNT workforce, and conduct technical training for avionics and flight test engineering personnel.
