Distributed Cloud | AWS Data Architect

About this role

Design scalable and sustainable data architectures for modern cloud-based data products. Provide architectural guidance on data platforms, processing, integration, warehousing, and cloud infrastructure. Support data teams across the full lifecycle, from solution design and prototyping to production. Define best practices for data pipelines, orchestration, streaming, and data integration. Contribute to data mesh and event-driven architecture initiatives.

Lead solution design discussions and document architectural decisions. Ensure solutions are aligned with technical standards, business requirements, and scalability needs. Experience as a Senior Data Engineer, Data Architect, or Solution Architect in an AWS cloud environment. Strong knowledge of end-to-end data architecture, including ingestion, transformation, storage, processing, and governance. Hands-on experience with: Snowflake Spark Kafka At least one streaming technology: Spark Structured Streaming, Flink, or Kafka Streams Experience with CI/CD, Terraform, and DevOps practices.

Knowledge of Data Mesh, Event-Driven Architecture, and Domain-Driven Design. Experience with APIs/interfaces, metadata management, data cataloguing, and governance. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with technical teams.
