Director of Product, InCommand

About this role

Serverfarm is a leading developer and operator of data centers with over 750+ locations and key customer relationships in 45 countries. We're revolutionizing how data centers operate across North America, Western Europe, and Israel, serving the world's leading technology and hyperscale companies. With Manulife Investment Management's acquisition in 2023 and our award-winning InCommand platform we're positioned for explosive growth as AI adoption and cloud migration drive unprecedented demand for data center capacity.

A career at Serverfarm means being at the forefront of digital infrastructure innovation, where your work directly impacts how the world's data is managed and secured. As we target 4x growth over the next four years, you'll have unprecedented opportunities to take on new challenges, develop cutting-edge skills, and grow your career across our expanding global operations. Join our team of innovators and help shape the future of sustainable data centers while building a career without boundaries.

The next InCommand is a new solution, built on a new technology stack, designed from the ground up for the way modern data centers, including high-density and AI infrastructure, are operated. It will be delivered as a cloud service and be deployable in customers' own environments, built API-first, and developed with an agent-assisted engineering practice in which coding agents work from specifications under human review.

Our own facilities are the first customer, so everything we build is proven in real, live operations before anyone else sees it. Someone has to decide what that product is: what it does, what it leaves behind, what comes first, and what the industry will pay for. As Director of Product that is your call, and the engineers and coding agents who build it work from what you write. This is a hands-on founding role. Initially you write the specifications and acceptance criteria yourself and spend time on the data-center floor and in the operations center; the product function grows from you as the product grows.

You start with a rare advantage: a decade of operational knowledge about what the product has to do, and the people who use it every day sitting down the hall. You partner closely with engineering and operations.
