The Director of Corporate Communications will lead the strategy, development, and execution of Oura's corporate, financial, executive, and crisis communications, with opportunities to support product and brand communications.

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Global Communications, this role will serve as a senior communications advisor to executive leadership and a strategic partner to leaders across the company. This leader will shape and advance Oura's external narrative as the company scales, strengthening understanding of our growth, business momentum, product roadmap, mission, science, healthcare strategy, and long-term vision. They’ll ensure that communications across product, brand, science, healthcare, commercial, and corporate storytelling ladder up to a clear, differentiated, and consistent company narrative.

The ideal candidate is a strategic, highly credible communications leader with experience advising C-suite executives and leading corporate, executive, external, internal, and crisis communications at a high-growth or large-scale company. They bring exceptional written, verbal, and strategic-planning capabilities, sound judgment, and the ability to lead through complexity and ambiguity. Experience with consumer technology, healthcare, financial communications, or a company preparing for or navigating a significant corporate milestone is a plus.

This role requires a leader who can translate complex business, health, science, and technology topics into clear, credible stories that build trust with consumers, partners, employees, media, investors, and other key stakeholders while remaining hands-on when the moment demands it. Serve as a senior communications counselor to executive leadership, helping shape company narrative, reputation strategy, and communications priorities. Champion Oura's corporate narrative and ensure it is consistently and effectively communicated across external and internal channels. Set communications strategy for major company milestones, product launches, strategic partnerships, regional activations, business updates, and other high-impact moments.

Establish clear communications plans, priorities, success measures, and operating rhythms across the corporate communications function. Lead Oura's awards strategy and oversee applicable conference submissions, speaking opportunities, and external recognition programs. Executive Communications Lead executive communications efforts, including positioning, message development, talking points, keynote scripts, speeches, presentations, and other high-visibility materials.

Prepare Oura executives and senior leaders for media interviews, investor and analyst engagements, speaking opportunities, employee moments, and public appearances. Lead executive media training and support ongoing development of Oura's external spokespeople. Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure leaders communicate with clarity, consistency, and authenticity. Manage the planning and execution of executive communications programs, including logistics, briefing materials, run-of-show documents, and post-event follow-up.

Stakeholder and Media Relations Build and maintain relationships with key media outlets, influencers, analysts, thought leaders, and other stakeholders to drive high-quality coverage and strengthen Oura's reputation. Develop proactive media and thought-leadership strategies across corporate, business, product, science, healthcare, commercial growth, and culture narratives. Collaborate with external agencies and consultants to extend Oura's reach, strengthen media presence, and deliver high-impact campaigns.

Build strong partnerships with leaders across product, engineering, commercial, finance, legal, marketing, people, science, and healthcare to align internal and external messaging. Serve as a senior point of contact for corporate PR, brand PR, crisis communications, and media relations inquiries. Crisis and Issues Communications Own Oura's crisis and issues communications approach, including plans, messaging frameworks, holding statements, FAQs, escalation protocols, and preparedness exercises.

Advise executive leadership and cross-functional partners on reputational risk, communications strategy, and response options during sensitive or high-impact situations. Partner with legal, people, product, security, commercial, and executive leadership to assess risk, align messaging, and manage communications during evolving issues. Lead the development and execution of internal and external communications during crisis situations, including media statements, executive talking points, employee communications, and customer-facing responses where applicable.

Strengthen organizational readiness through scenario planning, spokesperson preparation, and ongoing refinement of crisis processes.
