Our Ambition: To build the world’s most disruptive payment network and redefine what the payment experience should feel like.
Trustly is a global team of innovators, collaborators, and doers. If you are driven by a strong sense of purpose and thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and high-growth environment, join us and be part of a team that’s transforming the way the world pays. ABOUT THE GLOBAL PARTNERSHIPS TEAM The Global Partnerships team builds and manages Trustly’s relationships with banks, aggregators, and neobanks, the connections that let consumers and merchants pay directly from a bank account.
Our vision is simple: make Trustly the default open banking payment method, starting with the U.S., our top priority market, followed by Canada and Europe. ABOUT THE ROLE As Director, Banking Partnerships, Americas, you will own Trustly’s commercial and strategic relationships with financial institutions, aggregators, and neobanks across the U.S. and Canada. Reporting to the Head of Banking & Product Partnerships, Americas, you will set portfolio strategy, own the economics of every deal, and build executive relationships.
You will be accountable for the health, growth, and durability of the portfolio, and you will decide when a partnership needs more investment, renegotiation, remediation, or replacement. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Own Trustly’s relationships with named banks, aggregators, and neobanks, building senior partner relationships and acting as the internal voice of each partner. - Lead deal economics and negotiation strategy from initial structuring through renegotiation, revisiting terms as volume, cost, coverage, risk, and regulation change.
- Source and negotiate net new bank partnerships, drawing on your existing network at partner institutions. - Drive a durability-first access strategy (direct API, then native connection, then aggregator) and build alternatives that reduce concentration risk and preserve continuity. - Establish portfolio governance, including performance reviews, escalation paths, and decision forums, and report portfolio health to executives on a regular cadence.
