Hours: Full time (part time 30 hours considered) Fixed Term 24 Month Contract Location: Remote with occasional UK travel. The postholder must be based in the UK. Salary: £28,000 - 30,000 per annum or equivalent pro rata for part time (depending on experience) About MOVE Against Cancer At MOVE Against Cancer our mission is to support and empower everyone impacted by cancer to be more active because movement matters.
Exercise - in fact, all movement - is one of the most important things anyone diagnosed with cancer can do to enhance wellbeing and improve health outcomes both during and after treatment. We support people to get moving in a way that is right for them through our 5k Your Way support groups, the Movement Hub, Community Engagement projects and the MOVE programme. MOVE Against Cancer is seeking a Digital and Resources Lead to develop and manage the organisation's digital presence, including our website, social media channels and online resources, such as our Movement Hub, to support people affected by cancer to move more.
The postholder will lead the creation and sharing of engaging, accessible digital content, including articles, guides, videos, social media content and practical resources. They will ensure our website and digital platforms provide meaningful support for beneficiaries, while expanding the reach and impact of MOVE Against Cancer's work. The role will also lead the development of new resources and digital projects that encourage and enable more people affected by cancer to become and stay active.
Key Responsibilities Social Media & Digital Engagement Lead the development and day-to-day management of MOVE Against Cancer’s social media channels. Create engaging content that encourages and supports people affected by cancer to move more and stay active. Develop and share regular content to show what MOVE are working on including: movement tips educational content participant stories programme highlights expert insights Build and nurture an online community around movement and cancer.
Increasing our engagement. Monitor engagement and use insights to improve reach and impact. Digital Resources and Educational Content Lead our resource advisory group and resource development projects. Develop, share and maintain online resources that support people living with and beyond cancer. Produce accessible digital content such as: articles Guides toolkits FAQs movement advice pages newsletters programme information Ensure resources are clear, supportive and evidence informed.
