Our mission is to connect AI and BI, to evolve our platforms and to empower our customers. As the central provider of the BI platform for Corporate-, CTO-topics and state-of-the-art AI solutions we are supporting data driven decision making all across the IONOS Group.

Taking these strategic objectives the team focuses on the white spots in our CTO area which can be optimized with modern analytics abilities. The team fulfills the full stack development lifecycle over each of the Plan, Build and Run responsibilities. This means we engineer requirements, develop, test and deploy our deliverables by always staying in close touch with our stakeholders. On a functional project level as Business Intelligence team we are responsible for delivering insights on different data sources for our CTO area with its 11 divisions.

We are also currently building our new big data platform based on the IONOS cloud. Among other things, the platform uses Trino, Hive and Airflow. The whole system is orchestrated by a private managed Kubernetes. If you are familiar with these keywords and even have practical experience in using these tools, this job could be the right job for you. As a DevOps Engineer, you will actively help shape this new cloud big data platform together with your colleagues, share responsibility for the operation of our technical data processes, carry out deployments, and support operational stability.

What we'd like from you: Curiosity and independence in solving problems by taking over ownership; Desire to constantly acquire knowledge and share own knowledge; Experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies; Knowledge of CI/CD technologies (such as ArgoCD, Terraform); System administration (Handling of Linux systems and applications); Confident handling of Linux systems and environments; Practical experience with networking concepts and technologies; Practical experience with Python programming and related frameworks.

If you join us you would: Express your experience in engineering software, platforms and support in operations of our analytics platforms; Contribute your existing experience to a dedicated team and collaborate across disciplines; Discuss and implement requirements with various stakeholders; Support other DevOps engineers across our department with your expertise. Main responsibilities: The focus is on the operations part of our various platforms as well as their further development; First point of contact for all topics related to the operation of applications, like data pipelines or platform-related infrastructure processes; Basic requirements gathering and analysis for the implementation of additional platform services; Coordination with internal/external stakeholders within the organization for solution engineering or ensuring operations; Monitoring the operational processes for which you are responsible; Continuous and independent further development of operational process definitions; Collaboration with colleagues from different disciplines and levels of experience.
