Overview: We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic DevOps Engineer to play a critical role in building a robust and world-class technology infrastructure environment. The successful candidate will be a team player who enjoys collaborating across the business, and a self-motivated individual who takes the initiative in ensuring the efficient operation of the firm's critical technology environment.
This role will be based in London but involves close cooperation with the US team and regular interaction with both technology experts and business users. As a key liaison between technical teams and business users, excellent communication skills are a must. Responsibilities and Impact: Administer and support the firm’s DevOps systems – Including but not limited to Puppet, Jenkins, GitHub, and SVN Manage software compilation, deployment, and lifecycle management for the firm’s core application platforms Administer and automate the firm’s Linux systems, including resource management, continuity and resiliency planning, security operations, and patching / upgrade lifecycle management Monitor and troubleshoot core systems, identifying solutions to resolve issues and recommending changes to improve performance Support business and technology development teams with dependency resolution and software testing methodologies Our future colleague has these skills: Minimum 3 years’ experience working in development or IT Operations for a financial services company University degree preferred Hands-on experience with multiple DevOps tools Infrastructure-as-code systems (Terraform, Puppet, etc.) CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.) Source Control Management (GitHub, SVN, etc.) Scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python, etc.) Containerization Technologies (Docker, Kubernetes.) Experience with public cloud management and associated automation (AWS, Azure, etc.) Demonstrated ability to gather and translate business and technical requirements into reproducible and resilient technology systems Continuously assess current systems and processes and recommend modifications where appropriate Benefits & Compensation Information: Our team is our most important asset and investment.
