Developer Marketer
About this role
Role Summary We’re hiring a senior Developer Marketer to own how developers discover, try, and ship with LottieFiles ’ developer products. This is an IC seat, not a brand or campaign role. You’ll write the docs, ship the samples, grow our open-source and developer presence, and make sure a developer can go from “I need motion in my app” to working code without talking to us. You’ll sit within Growth/Marketing, but act as the day-to-day bridge to Engineering for the developer products we build.
You’ll help shape strategy, positioning, and messaging, then turn that into shipped outputs. You’ll own the developer story for the surfaces we’re building next: AI-assisted motion for builders, agent workflows (including MCP-style tooling), APIs/SDKs, and open-source — not just the classic players and docs. Your day-to-day Own positioning, docs, quickstarts, and samples across our developer stack — including AI generation surfaces and agent integrations Ship and maintain the first-run path so a developer reaches a clear “first success” without help Grow our open-source and developer presence — READMEs, examples, launch posts, and listings on GitHub, package registries, and relevant developer directories Publish where developers and agent builders already are: documentation, package pages, registries, MCP registries, GitHub, and technical communities Partner with engineering on APIs, docs accuracy, and developer experience; file bugs and fix the docs yourself when something’s wrong Instrument and report on developer activation (docs usage, first success, OSS adoption) against company goals Champion internal adoption: LottieFiles engineers shipping with our own developer tools What we are looking for 5+ years in developer marketing, developer experience, or product marketing for a developer tool, API, SDK, or open-source project — and a portfolio of what you shipped You can write code well enough to build samples, read a PR, and fix a broken quickstart without waiting on engineering Strong written English: docs, READMEs, launch posts, and technical community writing Experience launching or growing an open-source project or developer platform (GitHub, npm, docs sites, community) Comfortable working with engineers as a peer; you can push back on DX without a manager in the middle Remote-friendly; preferred overlapping Asia / Europe hours Bonus points if you..
