About this role

We have a number of opportunities available in our factory in Willand, Devon , which has been continually processing for over 100 years. The working hours for the position Despatch Scan to Stock AM are: Monday - Friday 5:30am - 14:30pm with an early finish on a Tuesday at 13:30pm Rate of pay : £13.85 per hour Your main responsibilities include: ensure orders are scanned correctly according to information provided Print identification labels Wrap and store pallets safely and securely Moving product to appropriate locations Other general Despatch duties as directed by Leaders or Managers Adhere to and promote Health and Safety standards Adhere to and promote Food Safety standards Product quality is everyone’s responsibility, and the highest standards of quality must be maintained throughout all stages of the manufacturing process.

In your specific role this includes carrying out tasks in line with documented procedures and ensuring the products that we produce meet customer specifications. You will consistently refer to the relevant customer specification sheets to ensure that the portions / products that are being packed are in accordance with the agreed weight and size parameters and that there are no visible quality issues with the product e.g.

excessive bruising, poor cutting standards, bone fragments, or excess fat You are responsible for identifying and reporting any product defects or deviations to specifications and removing those products from the line. This should also include a root cause analysis to help identify what caused the quality issue.
