About this role

In order to qualify for the Deputy Human Resources Officer position, you must meet the following time in grade requirements and minimum qualifications: TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level. (Please submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade.

Time-in-grade requirements also apply to VEOA applicants having held a GS position in the past year. AND FOR THE GS-14 LEVEL: Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks, full-time) of specialized work experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service (or comparable experience outside the Federal service), performing 3 or more of the following duties: Directing or managing human resources operations involving multiple HR functional areas to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant delivery of personnel services; Developing or implementing human capital initiatives that addressed organizational workforce priorities or operational requirements; Developing or evaluating human resources policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational requirements; and Providing authoritative, data-driven recommendations to senior management on complex human resources issues affecting workforce management or organizational operations.
