Deployment Strategist
About this role
ABOUT THE ROLE This is the customer- and stakeholder-facing side of a Forward Deployed Engineering function at a fast-growing fintech company building compliance and identity infrastructure for businesses. You will own the end-to-end deployment experience for enterprise clients, bridging customers, product, and engineering to ensure successful implementations and feed real-world insights back into how the product evolves.
WHAT YOU'LL DO - Partner with enterprise customers to design and execute implementations tailored to their specific needs. - Manage stakeholder relationships across complex enterprise environments with competing priorities. - Lead detailed project planning and execution during deployments, keeping all teams aligned and on track. - Analyze customer requirements early, break them into actionable priorities, and communicate trade-offs clearly.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and growth teams to identify friction points and improve implementation processes. - Build documentation, tooling, and playbooks that make future deployments smoother and more scalable. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - 4 to 5 or more years of relevant professional experience, including at least 3 years in customer-facing deployment, implementation, or solutions engineering for enterprise software.
- Strong domain expertise in KYB, KYC, AML, regulated onboarding, or a closely related compliance domain; this is the primary signal for the role. - Operating experience in fintech, banking, or a startup environment; a purely management-consulting background without hands-on operating experience is a low fit. - Proven ability to manage complex enterprise implementations from kickoff through go-live, including scope management and stakeholder coordination.
- Proficiency with project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or Scrum, and tools such as Jira, Asana, or Monday.com. - Experience translating between technical and non-technical stakeholders and breaking down technical requirements into prioritized actions. - Track record of cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, and customer-facing teams to resolve implementation blockers. - Experience documenting processes, building implementation guides, or creating internal tooling to improve onboarding workflows.
