The Business Legal team, which includes the Corporate Legal team, is a team of centralized legal subject matter experts who provide support across all of Plaid’s functions. Role Description Plaid is looking for a highly capable and resourceful corporate generalist to join its Business Legal team, which includes Corporate Legal. The Corporate Counsel role is responsible for all areas of corporate law and governance, including corporate governance & Board support, corporate transactions support, subsidiary and entity management, corporate regulatory compliance and policy development. The ideal candidate will be one who can provide empathetic and practical advice to the business and work well with various cross functional teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities - Corporate Governance & Board Support: Support the company’s corporate governance framework and Board of Directors activities, including preparing board and committee meeting materials (resolutions, minutes, written consents) and maintaining corporate records and filings to ensure the company remains in good standing. This involves organizing documentation for board meetings and implementing governance practices appropriate for a late-stage private company.
