COO Office Intern (paid)
About this role
You’ve already taken classes in business models, finance, and human resources—but how does it all work in real life? How do companies actually operate? Don’t just learn. Do! You’ll work directly with TensorOps’ COO, taking ownership of important business operations and gaining hands-on experience in the AI industry. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organising information, solving problems, and finding smarter ways to get things done.
It’s a great fit for Master’s students and recent Master’s graduates, from both tech and business backgrounds, who feel their real strength is getting things done. What you’ll do • Monitor project progress, measure project efficiency, and identify opportunities for improvement. • Maintain project allocation and team availability information to support resource planning. • Document workflows, organise our knowledge base, and keep internal information accurate and accessible.
• Identify repetitive tasks and help build or improve AI-powered automations. • Support the administration of company software, subscriptions, and internal tools. • Help coordinate onboarding and maintain documentation for people-related processes. • Collaborate across teams to improve project handovers and operational workflows. • Track operational metrics and summarise findings to help the team identify opportunities for improvement.
What you’ll bring • You’re studying towards or have recently completed a degree in Information Management, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field—or can demonstrate relevant practical experience. • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. • An analytical mindset and curiosity about how processes work and how they could be improved. • Clear communication skills, a collaborative attitude, and confidence in asking questions.
• Initiative, reliability, and a willingness to learn from feedback. • An interest in AI, technology, and how businesses operate. • Familiarity with spreadsheets and collaborative productivity tools. Useful extras These are welcome, but not required: • Experience with Python, SQL, or automation tools. • Experience organising events, supporting communities, volunteering, or contributing to a student organisation or entrepreneurial project.
