About this role
Special Conditions of Employment: Candidates within the Federal Government must provide a copy of their Federal Acquisitions Certification in Contracting (FAC-C) (Professional). Applicants outside of the Federal Government must obtain and maintain Federal Acquisitions Certification in Contracting (FAC-C) (Professional) within 24 months of the hiring date. Minimum Qualification Requirements You may meet the minimum qualifications for the GS-14, if you possess the specialize experience, education, or a combination of the two.
Specialized Experience for the GS-14 One year of experience in either federal or non-federal service that is equivalent to at least a GS-13 performing two (2) out of three (3) of the following duties or work assignments: 1. Experience providing advice and support on acquisition or contracting activities, including requirements, contract actions, modifications, performance, or claims. 2. Experience applying acquisition laws, regulations, policies, and procedures to analyze and resolve procurement or contracting matters.
3. Experience managing acquisition processes, systems, or data to support effective procurement or contracting, compliance, accountability, and lifecycle improvements. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) The quality of your experience will be measured by the extent to which you possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs). You do not need to provide separate narrative responses to these KSAs, as they will be measured by your responses to the occupational questionnaire (you may preview the occupational questionnaire by clicking the link at the end of the Evaluations section of this vacancy announcement).
Knowledge of acquisition and contracting principles, requirements, contract actions, modifications, contract performance, and claims processes. Knowledge of federal acquisition laws, regulations, policies, and procedures governing procurement and contracting activities. Knowledge of acquisition processes, systems, data management practices, and acquisition lifecycle requirements that support effective procurement and contracting.
