CONTRACT SPECIALIST

About this role

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation, supplements, policies and principles sufficient to plan, analyze, and evaluate proposals; 2) Performing a wide-range of contracting methods/contract types in order to plan, establish, negotiate, administer and evaluate a wide range of contracts to satisfy procurement requirements and solve a variety of support issues for various types of programs at different stages in the acquisition lifecycle; 3) Complete procurement activities within your workload while continuously reviewing, analyzing and facilitating the completion of contractual documents for your team; 4) Experience with acquisition planning, contracting methods, contract types, source selection, negotiation, award and post award administration; 5) Performing contract administration to include contract monitoring; contract change orders and modifications; contract close-outs; price redeterminations; and terminations for cause and default utilizing effective business and contractual knowledge and skills.
