CONTRACT SPECIALIST

About this role

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Serving as a Contract Specialist managing moderately complex procurement actions with increasing autonomy, from acquisition planning through closeout, under the guidance of a senior specialist or Contracting Officer.

2. Assisting in the development of acquisition plans, solicitation documents, and negotiation objectives for more complex requirements. 3. Performing cost and price analysis on a variety of contractor proposals and supporting lead negotiators in contract discussions. 4. Gaining experience in post-award functions, such as tracking contractor performance, reviewing invoices, and drafting contract modifications for review.

5.Increasingly serving as a point of contact for program offices and contractors on less complex contractual matters.
