About this role
You must meet the basic educational requirements for the GS-12 position. This position requires the below individual occupational requirements that you must meet. (You MUST upload a copy of your transcripts at time of application, or you will be found not qualified for the position). 1. A 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with a major in any field. OR 2. At least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management.
A. Exceptions: Employees in GS-1102 positions will be considered to have met the standard for positions they occupy on January 1, 2000. Employees who occupy GS-1102 positions at grades 5 through 12 will be considered to meet the basic requirements for other GS-1102 positions up to and including those classified at GS-12. This includes positions at other agencies and promotions up through grade 12. However, employees must meet specialized experience requirements when seeking another position.
AND In addition to the individual occupational requirements described above, you MUST meet the below specialized experience to be found minimally qualified for the position: Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The qualification requirements listed below must be met by the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for this position at the GS-12 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following: Performing contracting work that includes acquisition planning, market research, solicitation development, proposal evaluation, cost/price analysis, contract award support, and contract administration, AND Applying Federal acquisition regulations and policies (i.e. reviewing acquisition documents; and coordinating with program offices, contractors, and other stakeholders to support compliant and timely procurement actions).
