About this role
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. Basic Qualifications: Basic Education Standards for positions in the 1102 series: A bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees. NOTE: The education requirements listed above apply only to individuals entering DoD GS-1102 positions on or after October 1, 2000. Current civilian personnel in DoD who occupied GS-1102 positions or contracting positions with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold in an Executive Department on or before September 30, 2000 are exempt from meeting this requirement.
Current military members who occupied a similar occupational specialty to the GS (or equivalent)-1102 or before September 30, 2000 are also exempt from meeting this requirement. Transcripts are required at the time of application. To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university. You must report only attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions that are recognized by the U.S.
Department of Education Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services at the time of application. National Association of Credential Evaluation Services . Time in Grade: For entry at the GS-12 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher grade in the Federal Service.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-12, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-11 if outside the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience such as negotiating, solicitation preparation, proposal evaluation, cost/price analysis, contract writing, OR source selection leading to acquisition of information technology (IT) / telecommunication services, equipment, hardware, OR software for DoD components and other authorized Government agencies in the Pacific theater, including both U.S.
