About Finance at THG THG’s Finance department is a rapidly growing and evolving team, covering all areas of central functions such as Accounts Receivable and Payable, Treasury, Tax and Group Finance, to specific Commercial teams for each of THG’s divisions. With the company’s global presence increasing at an unprecedented rate, the Finance team continues to drive change while remaining agile; keeping pace with the business while never compromising on financial control or sales performance.

THG Finance is helping to deliver rapid growth for THG’s fast-moving, global brands. It’s an incredibly exciting time to be joining the team. Why be a Consolidation Accountant at THG? You will be joining a FTSE 250 business and be able to play a key role in Group Finance, supporting the preparation of group and sub-group consolidations, IFRS 16 lease accounting, and external financial reporting. You'll be working within a fast-paced, international business, you'll gain exposure to complex accounting matters while helping ensure compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.

As a Consolidation Accountant you will: Group Consolidation & Reporting: Prepare and review group and multi layered sub-consolidations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS and UK reporting standards. Coordinate with various finance teams to collect, validate, and consolidate financial data.

Prepare consolidation journals, including reclasses. IFRS16 Lease Accounting: Manage accounting related to IFRS16 leases, ensure proper recognition, measurement, and disclosure of leases. Maintain an system ownership of lease details within consolidation system Technical Accounting: Provide expertise on technical accounting matters, including debt, foreign exchange (FX), and equity transactions. Assist with the preparation and review of technical accounting papers for management and auditors.

Preparation of Financial Notes: Draft and review notes to the financial statements in compliance with IFRS and UK statutory requirements. Ensure completeness, accuracy, and clarity of disclosures. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements within the consolidation and reporting functions. Ensure consistency, efficiency, and adherence to best practices in financial reporting. Compliance & Audit: Support the year-end audit process by preparing required schedules and liaising with auditors.

Ensure compliance with internal controls and governance policies. What skills and experience do I need for this role? ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with 2-3 years of relevant experience in consolidation and technical accounting. In-depth knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS16, and UK financial reporting requirements. Proficiency in financial consolidation systems (particularly Tagetik) and advanced Excel skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Experience in a UK-listed company or similar environment is preferred. Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and high-quality output. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. Proactive, self-motivated, and collaborative team player. What's in it for me?
